Until you or your fellows haven't done it, or until you haven't seen it with your own eyes, you would never trust it works. One of my friend's graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT) started mulfunctioning, just when it was needed the most, so there was a need for a rash move. A 15 min work, 10 min baking and everything is back to normal. And you also saved a few hundred bucks.
